There are so many great locations for photo sessions in and around ABQ. This guide has all the information you need to decide on the perfect spot for your next session!
THE TOP THREE
These are my most frequently booked locations, for good reason, and will add so much visual interest to your photos.
The foothills of the Sandia Mountains are abosolutely gorgeous at sunset during any season of the year. Perfect for couples and families with older kids—not so great for babies and younger toddlers because of the desert terrain with lots of cacti.
1. SANDIA FOOTHILLS
Cienega Canyon is a beautiful picnic area with hiking trails at the base of the Sandia Mountains. Cienega has a large open field (with wildflowers in late summer), a wooden bridge, and beautiful pine trees. It’s one of my favorites spots to go year-round. Perfect for romantic engagement sessions and families of all sizes.
2. CIENEGA CANYON
The Bosque near the river is THE SPOT for Fall foliage in Albuquerque. It’s beautiful during greener months too, but it is definitely the quintessential location for Fall photos. Perfect for couples and families.
3. BOSQUE
